La missionnaire américaine et sa fille, enlevées en juillet dernier en Haïti, ont été libérées. Des pourparlers ont commencé après l’enlèvement, selon une source policière.
Mercredi 9 aout 2023 ((rezonodwes.com))–Alix Dorsainvil, une femme américaine, et son jeune enfant ont été libérés et sont en sécurité après avoir été kidnappés en Haïti il y a environ deux semaines, selon une déclaration d’El Roi Haïti, l’organisation à but non lucratif où elle travaillait.
« C’est avec un cœur rempli de gratitude et une immense joie que nous, chez El Roi Haïti, confirmons la libération en toute sécurité de notre membre du personnel et amie, Alix Dorsainvil, ainsi que de son enfant, qui étaient retenus en otage à Port-au-Prince, Haïti », a déclaré El Roi Haïti dans un communiqué mercredi.
Dorsainvil et sa jeune fille avaient été enlevées du complexe d’El Roi en dehors de Port-au-Prince le 27 juillet et avaient été détenues depuis lors. Les négociations pour sa libération ont commencé peu de temps après son enlèvement, selon une source des forces de l’ordre haïtiennes.
L’enlèvement a eu lieu alors que le Département d’État américain ordonnait l’évacuation des membres de la famille des employés du gouvernement américain et des employés du gouvernement américain non essentiels en Haïti le 27 juillet.
L’avis de voyage du gouvernement américain pour Haïti est « ne pas voyager en raison des enlèvements, de la criminalité, des troubles civils et de l’infrastructure de soins de santé déficiente », selon le Département d’État.

It is with a heart of gratitude and immense joy that we at El Roi Haiti confirm the safe release of our staff member and friend, Alix Dorsainvil and her child who were held hostage in Port au Prince, Haiti. Today we are praising God for answered prayer!
We are so thankful for everyone who joined us in prayer and supported us during this crisis. “El Roi” is a Hebrew name of the God of the Bible that means “the God who sees.” It is with that vision that we now rest upon God’s truth that, “In his kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation” (1 Peter 5:10). We praise God that He has proven Himself faithful as He restores, supports, and strengthens Alix and her family, the ministry of El Roi Haiti, and the community that Alix has impacted – and continues to impact – with her ministry in Haiti.
There is still much to process and to heal from in this situation, so we are asking that no attempts be made to contact Alix or her family at this time.
