Kodak fait partie des artistes nominés pour les BET Hip Hop Awards 2022, dans la catégorie « Chanson de l’année » pour son single « Super Gremlin ». Un titre extrait de la compilation du label Sniper Gang Sniper Gang Presents Syko Bob & Snapkatt : Nightmare Babies.

Kodak Black a eu une carrière de rap réussie depuis qu’il s’est d’abord fait connaître avec son premier single de 2014 « No Flockin ». Il a poursuivi sa visibilité avec une série de sorties, notamment son premier album Painting Pictures en 2017, qui a atteint la troisième place du Billboard 200 américain.
Il obtiendra plus tard son premier projet numéro un avec son deuxième album Dying to Live, qui contient des titres comme » ZeZe » en featuring avec Travis Scott et Offset.
Les talents de Kodak ne lui ont pas seulement valu des opportunités de sauter en studio avec d’autres artistes, mais il en a inspiré certains. Il a également été le catalyseur de l’essor de la carrière d’autres personnes.
Bien qu’il ait obtenu une nomination en 2017 pour le « Meilleur artiste hip-hop », le MC basé en Floride n’a jamais remporté de prix, mais cela pourrait changer cette année.
