WASHINGTON — New England Human Rights Organization (NEHRO) a annoncé qu’elle ne pourra pas participer à la conférence sur Haïti prévue du 15 au 17 octobre à Washington, D.C., en raison d’un conflit d’agenda.
L’organisation de défense des droits humains a exprimé ses regrets de ne pouvoir prendre part aux travaux de cette rencontre, qu’elle présente comme un espace de dialogue consacré aux principaux enjeux auxquels Haïti est largement confronté.
NEHRO affirme néanmoins demeurer favorable aux initiatives destinées à favoriser des échanges constructifs sur la situation haïtienne. Elle indique souhaiter pouvoir participer à de futures consultations ou conférences et y apporter ses analyses sur les questions concernant Haïti et sa population.
L’organisation a enfin adressé ses vœux de succès aux organisateurs et aux participants, souhaitant que les travaux de la conférence soient « constructifs et productifs ».

The New England Human Rights Organization regrets to inform you that, due to a prior scheduling commitment, it will be unable to participate in the Washington, D.C. Conference on Haiti, scheduled for October 15–17.
We deeply regret that we will not be in a position to attend this important gathering and contribute to its deliberations. We remain appreciative of initiatives that foster constructive dialogue on Haiti and the significant challenges facing the country.
Should similar consultations, meetings, or conferences be convened in the future, the New England Human Rights Organization would welcome the opportunity to participate and contribute its perspectives to discussions on matters of importance to Haiti and its people.
