Secretary General
Organization of American States (OAS)

Subject: Denunciation of Recurrent Violations of Haiti’s Sovereignty

Your Excellency,

We, the members of HULOD (Haiti’s Unfinished Liberation of Dessalines), write this letter with grave concern, yet with the unshakable dignity inherited from our ancestors. It is with a spirit of clarity and urgency that we denounce the continued interference of the OAS, often alongside foreign powers such as the United States, CARICOM, and Core Group, in the sovereign affairs of the Haitian people.

For decades, your interventions have repeatedly disregarded the will of the Haitian majority, favoring externally imposed governance over nationally rooted leadership. We consider this pattern not just a political misstep, but a direct violation of Haiti’s sovereignty, a betrayal of the very principles of democracy and self-determination that your institution claims to uphold.

Haiti is not a no man’s land. It is the sacred land of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the founding father of the first Black republic. It is not the property of the OASUnited StatesCARICOMCore Group nor of any foreign government. The crisis in Haiti must be resolved by Haitians themselves, not by handpicked emissaries or externally guided coalitions with no legitimacy from the people they claim to help.

Your interventions have failed not once, but for over a century to bring peace, development, or justice to our nation. The endless cycle of imposed leadership, economic exploitation, and foreign-backed repression has only deepened our wounds and weakened our institutions. This must end.

We call upon the OAS to respect Haiti’s inalienable right to self-governance and to immediately cease any support for undemocratic processes that exclude the voice of the

Haitian people. We do not ask for saviors; we ask for recognition. We demand that Haiti be treated not as a failed experiment, but as a proud nation striving to reclaim its destiny.

In the name of history, justice, and the unfinished liberation of our people, we urge the OAS to stand down and allow Haitians to stand up.

Respectfully,

Ing. Daniel Alexis

President, HULOD – Haiti’s Unfinished Liberation of Dessalines
